My original motivation for joining Facebook was to expand the exposure of Survivaltek to folks who share similar interests. A side benefit is that I’ve been able to connect with many friends from the past as well as establishing new ones.

Connectivity is the key. As with all open systems there can be abuse, but there are many safeguards in place. Facebook postings most often provide entertainment, but during times of crisis it can be a life-line. During the Katrina Hurricane and Japan’s recent disaster, Facebook provided vital connections for countless people who were dislocated and separated from family and loved ones. It can also provide links to vital sources of information.

Meanwhile I hope to be able to communicate in a more timely manner my Survivaltek activities to those who share my interests. While on Facebook you can search pages for “survivaltek” – or – from your computer the link is http://www.facebook.com/survivaltek – All “like this” votes are appreciated.
