Fish can be baked in clay. Here are the steps: 1) clean the fish 2) season with herbs 3) wrap with leaves - in this case cabbage leaves were used 4) cover with about 1/2" to 1" of clay 5) Place on coals and place coals on top for about 45 minutes.
